About Patriot Page
This page is available to any compatriot member of MISSAR, who wants to place his patriot's ancestry on it. The fee is a one time charge of $20.00.
How it works:
1- The MISSAR (or dual membership) compatriot, should e-mail to MISSAR Webmaster, a completed patriot ancestry in a “Microsoft Word” document file, with corrected spelling, error checking and be limited to 2000 words, total document count.
2- You must print the document and enclose with it a $20 check or money order made payable to “Michigan Society SAR.” This is to be sent to the MISSAR State Treasurer, who will deposit it into the MISSAR general fund. Once the State Treasurer verifies payment for your posting, the Webmaster will post your patriot ancestor file as a perpetual listing on the “Patriot Page”.
Notes- The patriot ancestor document should be
completely
edited before it is submitted. There should be no mention of the
sponsoring Compatriot, his family members, no addresses, no URL’s, no
E-mail addresses, no links, no photos (due to space) or mention of any
living persons. It may however, contain references to books, SAR
indexes, DAR indexes, Family documents, LDS listings or military
documents.
