Youth Contests/Scholarships

The Michigan Society Sons of the American Revolution participates in three youth contests. These contests provide an excellent opportunity for a youth to present a historical perspective of an individual viewpoint.  The experience gained by all participants is very rewarding.  These contests are initiated at the state level and final determination is conducted at the national level.  There are substantial cash awards presented to the individuals that place highest in the contest judging.  These contests are aimed primarily at high school students who have developed skills in writing, oration and scouting.  Each program has its own separate criteria for participation.  We warmly welcome all interested students take part in these contests.
